[특별기고] 물, 공기, 어디든 오염

우리는 플라스틱을 들이쉰다
사람들은 바다의 쓰레기 더미 속에서 헤엄치고 있다

우리는 깨끗한 공기를 마시고
행복하길 바라지만
사람들은 시민들과 나라들에 독을 퍼붓고 있다

우리는 환경의 건강을 논하지만
인간인 우리는
스스로 오염시키고
자신도 존중하지 않으며
자연도 존중하지 않는다

우리는 신을 흉내내며
지진을 만들고
비를 만들고
태풍을 만든다

어느 날 지구는
‘‘이제 그만’’이라 말할 것이며,
인간은 그 악한 행실로 인해
버림받을 것이다

Water, Air, Pollution everywhere

We breathe in plastic.
People are swimming among the garbage in the ocean.

We expect to breathe clean air and be happy,
Yet people are bombing citizens and countries
With poison.

We talk about environmental health,
But we humans―
We pollute.
We don't respect ourselves.
We don't respect nature.

We play God.
We create earthquakes.
We create rain.
We create typhoons.

One day, Earth
Will say, “Enough,”
And humanity will be rejected
For its evil deeds.
